Awareness of the importance of creating mentally healthy communities encompassing educators, children and their families, is growing amongst early childhood professionals.

Inclusion of all children without exception into childcare environments and ensuring their health and wellbeing needs are met is fundamental to the NQS and achieving high quality ratings.

The Inclusion Support Program supports Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services with inclusive practice that supports the inclusion of all children and development of a Strategic Inclusion Plan (SIP) that links into the QIP.

Did you know that there is also a government funded initiative called Be You that assists ECECs to promote and support positive mental health and wellbeing?

Registering with Be You gives you access to consultants, resources and professional learning opportunities

Talk to your Inclusion Professional about including Be You into your SIP and how you can get help to support the mental health of the children in your care.

Your Inclusion Professional can show you how to register on the Be You Website www.beyou.edu.au.  Always Be You has resources that support an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.
