Virtual meetings are proving beneficial for services, Educators, and families and stakeholders as WA Inclusion Agency adapts to a changed world following COVID - 19.
Services in the City of Armadale and City of Gosnells were joined by WA Inclusion Agency and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) on Zoom as part of the Educator Support Network.  Educator Support Networks are a way of ECECs coming together to share knowledge and to extend on training needs identified in the local area. Virtual options to attend these meetings will now be offered as well as face to face.If you are interested in attending an Educator Support Network for your area, please contact WAIA on 1800 11 9247.

Inclusion Professionals will visit your centre to provide support, but Zoom meetings are also a great option if there are barriers to face to face meetings.
Inclusion Professional Jenny held a Zoom meeting with Maz and Sophie from Moolanda Care and Learning Centre recently, to provide support.  Documents were shared and a SIP developed and after the meeting Maz said ‘I feel the Zoom meeting was great, such a supportive way of keeping in touch and still getting things happening during times when face to face visits aren’t possible. Thank you for taking the time to do it with us J ‘

Inclusion Professionals are also finding the meetings work well, commenting ‘It has been a great opportunity to find a different way to address the challenges of social distancing and still be able to provide a collaborative and respectful approach to inclusion. This will be a practice that will be useful in ongoing situations where time and distance may be a barrier to face to face meetings.”
